Columbus, OH

Welcome to The Freedom Collective

Our mission is to glorify God by bringing HOPE to victims of sexual exploitation, empowering them to live FREE, and ultimately abolishing sex trafficking. The mission is possible because of you!

Ohio is ranked #7 amongst states that receive the most calls to the National Human Trafficking Hotline. To take it one step further, Columbus, OH is ranked #9 amongst cities across the country. Here’s what The Freedom Collective is doing to reach those being exploited in Central Ohio.

We want adults trapped in sexual exploitation to have somewhere they can call for support and to get out immediately. We spread the word through street outreach, the operation of a drop-in center, a jail pen pal and mentorship program, and a 24-hour emergency safe home. Individuals seeking help can call a 24-hour hotline, and if they're ready, we'll send a team to pick them up and bring them to safety. Once at the safe home, they will first receive services providing stabilization and then placement into a long-term program that best suits their individual needs.

TAKE ACTION IN COLUMBUS

Princess Night Street Outreach

During our street outreach, we go to areas of Columbus known for street prostitution to give women roses and handwritten cards of encouragement with our hotline number, showing them their value through the eyes of Christ.

Our Jail program connects women in jail with a The Freedom Collective pen pal or mentor. We provide support, comfort, and relationship through written letters or one-on-one interaction, encouraging women to call our hotline for ongoing services upon release.

Jail PenPal & Mentorship

Parsons House Drop-In Center

Our drop-in center is located near one of our outreach areas and is open multiple days per week. Women can stop by to receive resources of food and clothing, connect to needed services, and participate in activities designed to strengthen and encourage.

The Freedom Collective hotline is the bridge between outreach and emergency housing. We are available to receive calls 24 hours a day.

Once a call comes to our hotline and a response team is requested, we coordinate to pick the woman up and transport her to the safe home.

At our Safe Home, residents stay an average of 2-4 weeks while attending medical and psychiatric appointments, participating in group therapy and skills-building classes, and applying for long-term programs. The Safe Home is located at an undisclosed location and accepts emergency intakes around the clock.

Through our Ambassador Program, we connect with the community to tell them about the realities of human trafficking and ways they can join the fight.
